Garmin Panoptix Livescope Bundle Review for 2023

Garmin Panoptix Livescope Bundle Review – Absolute Game Changer!

Surely, you must be tired of coming up empty every time you are out on a fishing trip with the boys. You may have thought about how it must be easier to avoid the steep learning curve in gathering enough fishing experience to locate and capture the trophy catches in 2023.

Thankfully, the Garmin Panoptix LiveScope bundle is here to save the day. The device works based on sonar technology to find static or live objects in the water. It sends out sound waves into the water that bounce off these objects. It’s then reflected back to the device for interpretation. This fish finding bundle is changing the game by allowing you to identify fish species right on your fish finder screen – moving or stationary!

P.S – check out our Garmin Panoptix Livescope ice fishing sonar review for a detailed review of the sonar itself.

Ease of Use: 5/5

The Garmin Panoptix Livescope bundle comes with the ECHOMAP™ UHD 93sv chartplotter, Panoptix™ LiveScope System, Panoptix ice fishing mount, Tilt/swivel mount, Power cable, Documentation and Portable fishing kit.

The system is a plug and play system and doesn’t require anything to be cranked up or screwed in, even when integrating it with the chart plotter. There is also a long list of compatible devices with which the sonar system functions seamlessly, but we definitely recommend the Echomap 93 model.

The main components have a broad range of conditions in which they function. The Sonar black box works well within temperatures of negative fifteen degrees and seventy degrees. The transducer also operates properly between zero degrees and 40 degrees, so you can fish in changing climates. The transducer has a 20 ft cable that allows for ample adjustments. Pointing the transducer forward will enable you to view around your boat, and pointing it down, gives you a view of what is beneath.
Simply plug the system up, point the transducer in a favorable direction, and enjoy happy fishing.

Accuracy and Precision: 5/5

The resulting live scanning images from the bundle are highly detailed. You can see fish swimming around or beneath your boat in real-time. The images are so detailed that you can even differentiate fish species.

You can also see your bait clearly in the water. The fish finder screen will show the fish pursuing and hitting your bait from as far as 150+ ft away from the boat!

The sonar system can give real-time image feedback up to 200 ft in the water, which is a lot more than is commonly expected while fishing. The AHRS (Attitude Heading References System) standout feature helps to stabilize the view so that the slight rocking of the boat and small winds don’t interrupt the chart plotter’s image.

Water Resistantance: 5/5

The Livescope Bundle isn’t waterproof but it is water-resistant with an IPX7 rating. This means that the device will still work if it ends up submerged in up to one meter of water for about 30 minutes.
This water-resistant feature is a preemptive one that protects your investment and retains the value of your purchase. While it may seem like a one-off chance, the bundle may end up in the water while fishing. Once it is quickly retrieved, it will still function properly.

Bimodal Functionality: 4/5

The transducer features a LiveScope Forward mode and LiveScope Down mode. The modes can be toggled on or off by the direction in which the transducer has been placed. Place it forward to engage the LiveScope Forward mode. You will be able to see fish swimming around your boat in open water in real-time.

Turn the transducer down to engage LiveScope Down mode. The system automatically updates the view for deep water fishing.

Garmin Panoptix Livescope Review – Worth the Money

The Garmin Panoptix Livescope Bundle’s accuracy makes fishing a lot easier, helping you pinpoint places where the fish are. It can be a useful system and a huge advantage for you in fishing tournaments, especially when coupled with good fishing experience.

The Garmin Panoptix LiveScope System is not suitable for deep-sea research activities because its range of sonar activity is 200 ft. Such a field may not be enough to scout some aquatic wildlife in very deep waters.

You should get the Garmin Panoptix LiveScope Bundle if you want to enjoy an overall better fishing experience. You can begin to pull your weight among friends and family at the next fishing event with big catches by letting the Garmin Livescope system be your eyes in the water.
